Three Milan HS Student-Athletes Earn Weekly Honors from ORVC

(Milan, Ind.) - Three Milan High School student-athletes are among the latest weekly award winners in the Ohio River Valley Conference.

The ORVC Report for December 5-10 was released on Tuesday.

Kaiya Rinear is the ORVC Girls Basketball Player of the Week. The Lady Indians star averaged 23.5 points and 18 rebounds over two games.

Milan’s Parker Sutherlin and Dylan Thomas are the ORVC Boys Swimming Top Performers of the Week. Sutherlin posted times of 2:04.76 and 5:39.55 in the 200 Yard Free and 500 Yard Free. Thomas built on an already strong start to the season with great performances in the 100 Yard Breast (1:03.44) and 200 Yard IM (2:07.48).

The ORVC Girls Swimmers of the Week are South Ripley’s Elizabeth McKittrick and Rising Sun’s Sidney Halloran. McKittrick performed well in the 50 Yard Free and 100 Yard Free, while Halloran was the top performer in the 200 Yard Free and 100 Yard Breast.

Southwestern’s Peyton Gwin is the ORVC Boys Basketball Player of the Week. He totaled 51 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists in two games.
