Thomas More's Conference Pushes Fall Sports To The Spring

The college sports landscape is ever-changing due to COVID-19.

(Crestview Hills, Ky.) – Student-athletes that participate in a fall sport at Thomas More University will have their seasons shifted to the spring.

The Mid-South Conference announced Monday that it is moving fall sports’ conference regular season and championships to the spring semester to align with the NAIA’s recent decision to move fall national championships to the spring.

Mid-South member institutions will have the ability to schedule non-conference competition this fall.

For Thomas More, the university is working with team physicians and coaching staffs to provide student-athletes as much safe competition and athletic related activities that is allowed during the fall semester.

"We are looking forward to getting our students back on campus in the next week," stated Athletic Director Terry Connor.  "Dr. Miller, St. Elizabeth Sports Medicine and our coaching staffs are working hard to provide our student-athletes as much athletically related activities that is safe under the national, state and local health guidelines.  We understand that COVID-19 guidelines are ever changing and we will make adjustments accordingly to reduce the risks to Thomas More student-athletes."

Teams' schedule pages on the athletic website will be updated as the Mid-South and Thomas More coaches construct their new schedules.
