Switzerland Co. Boys and Girls Highlight 2023 ORVC Soccer All-Conference Teams

Thirty-four student-athletes earned the all-conference designation.

(Vevay, Ind.) - Thirty-four soccer stars have earned All-Conference honors in the Ohio River Valley Conference. 

The 2023 ORVC Boys and Girls Soccer All-Conference teams were released on Thursday. 

Six Switzerland County Lady Pacers highlight the Girls All-Conference team after they won the conference championship with a perfect 8-0 record. They are Halle Archer, Emma Parsons, Claire Rogers, Emma South, Kenzie Taylor, and Megan Wetzel. 

Goals were plentiful for the Lady Pacers this season, scoring 141 goals while only conceding nine times. Senior Halle Archer led the way with a conference-best 38 goals and 18 assists. Three others scored double digit goals for the Lady Pacers.

  • Emma Parsons (So.): 28 goals, 15 assists
  • Kenzie Taylor (Sr.): 17 goals, 5 assists
  • Emma South (Fr.): 16 goals, 5 assists

Rising Sun placed second in the conference and were led by juniors Hillary Lambert (15 G, 3 A) and Hannah Kremer (12 G, 7 A), and sophomore goalkeeper Maggie Mossburger. 

Milan and South Ripley each had two all-conference selections. 

The 2023 ORVC Girls Soccer Mental Attitude Award went to Milan's Ava Honnert and Rising Sun's Keira Holbrook. Switzerland County head coach Courtney Dayadharum is the ORVC Coach of the Year. 

On the boys' side, Southwestern led the way with four all-conference selections after winning the conference with an 8-1-3 record. 

Switzerland County placed third but tied Southwestern with four all-conference selections. Junior Cooper Todd finished the season with 20-plus goals for the second consecutive season. He is joined on the all-conference team by Austin Johns, Mason Peelman, and Aiden Furnish. 

Jac-Cen-Del places three on the all-conference team, including senior Caleb White who led the conference in goals with 27. He added 11 assists, but it was teammate Carson Hughes who led the conference in that category with 19 assists. Sam Schwering also earned all-conference honors, scoring 8 goals and assisting on 6 more from his midfield position. 

South Ripley, Rising Sun and Milan each had one all-conference selection. 

The 2023 ORVC Mental Attitude Award went to William Stockdale (Southwestern) The 2023 ORVC Coach of the Year Seth Shields, also of Southwestern.
