Southwestern wins ORVC Boys Golf Championship and Five Earn ORVC Weekly Honors

ORVC report for May 4 – 9.

(Madison, IN) - Southwestern takes first place at the ORVC Boys Golf Championship on Saturday. The Rebels had a team score of 343. Jac-Cen-Del finished as the runner-up with 360, and Switzerland County rounded out the top 3 with a 374.

Milan's Ethan Clark earns ORVC Boys golfer of the week. Clark was the round medalist with a 75 at the ORVC Tournament. He also carded a 37 at Belterra.

The ORVC Softball players of the week are Kynadee Bode and Elaina Titkemeyer.

Bode tossed fifteen innings, allowed zero hits, zero runs, and struck out twenty-eight batters. Bode had a perfect game versus Lawrenceburg, and two no hitters. She also recorded 6 RBI, 4 hits, 3 2B, 2 runs in 3 games. Titkemeyer pitched eighteen innings resulting in 7 hits, 0 runs, and 38 K’s going 3-0 last week. She also had 6 hits, 6 runs, 4 RBI, 2B, HR, SB in 3 games.

The ORVC Baseball players of the week are Jeter Chatham and Neil Sullivan. Chatham (Southwestern) went 6-7, 7 runs, 6 hits, 2 RBI, 2 2B, 2 SB in 3 games. While Sullivan (Jac-Cen-Del) had 7 hits, 6 runs, 4 RBI, 2 HR, 2B, SB in 3 games. On the mound he also had 7.1 IP, 4 hits, 3 runs, ER, 11 K’s in win vs. Southwestern
