Patrick Cosgrove is out after three years of leading the program.

(Aurora, Ind.) - South Dearborn High School is in search of a new boys varsity basketball head coach.
The South Dearborn Athletic Department confirmed to Eagle Country 99.3 on Monday that Patrick Cosgrove will not return for the 2025-26 seasons.
Cosgrove took over the boys basketball program in 2022 and led the Knights to a 44-30 record over the past three seasons, including a Rivertown Classic Championship this past January. South Dearborn also made an appearance in the Class 3A Sectional 29 Championship Game, falling to Jennings County 69-55.
The Knights finished the season with a 16-10 record and could potentially return six key varsity players for the 2025-26 seasons, including All-EIAC selections Scout Gray and Tyler Christian.
There have been eight different head coaches at South Dearborn over the last 21 years. The longest tenured coach in that stretch was Rick Shumate, who coached for four seasons between 2011 and 2015.
Rob Moorhead is the last South Dearborn coach to led the Knights to a sectional title during the 1994-95 season.
