South Dearborn, Franklin Co. Wrestlers Shine at First-Ever Girls EIAC Championship

(Brookville, Ind.) – Last Friday, the first-ever Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference girls championship was held at Franklin County High School.

South Dearborn and Franklin County were among the standout teams with multiple individual champions. 

The Knights were led by Karaleigh Oles, Charlie Studt, Bailey Griffin, Leah Luke, and Jesie Schaefer. Franklin County's individual champions are Jade Rolfes, Kylie Broshear, Lila Westerman, and Kylie Young. 

Lawrenceburg's lone individual champion is Lacie Lowe.

130 – Audri Brock (Connersville) def. Lily Nichols (Franklin County)

135 – Lacie Lowe (Lawrenceburg) def. Sage Leising (Franklin County)

140 – Jesie Schaefer (South Dearborn) def. Elizabeth Hooker (Rushville)

145 – Jasmine Bailey (Greensburg) won by forfeit

155- Kylie Broshear (Franklin County) def. Addie Reeder (South Dearborn)

170 – Lila Westerman (Franklin County) def. Bobbie Westerfeld (Greensburg)

190 – Cora Francis (Connersville) def. Alexa Guerich (Greensburg)

235 – Kylie Young (Franklin County) def. Nevaeh Paxton (Connersville)
