Six Earn ORVC Weekly Honors

(Osgood, Ind.) - Six high school student-athletes have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference. 

The ORVC Report for April 8-13 was released on Tuesday. 

Jac-Cen-Del's Neil Sullivan was named the ORVC Baseball Player of the Week. Sullivan collected three hits and five RBI in a 12-8 win over Shawe Memorial. He also tossed 2.2 innings in relief, giving up two runs and striking out seven. 

The ORVC Softball Players of the Week are Emma Voss (Milan) and Ashley Fulton (Southwestern). Voss totaled two home runs, including a grand slam, five runs, and six RBI in two games. Fulton earned weekly honors by collecting four hits and three RBI in two games. She also went 2-0 in the pitching circle and became Southwestern's all-time hit leader with 145. 

Rising Sun's Nate Elliott is the ORVC Boys Golfer of the Week after posting a nine-hole round of 37 at Rising Star. 

Ty Lay (Switzerland County) and Alexa Yeomans (South Ripley) are the ORVC Track and Field Performers of the Week.
