Seven EC Student-Athletes Sign LOI on National Signing Day

Baseball, softball, and soccer stars are set to play at the college level.

(St. Leon, Ind.) - Seven East Central Trojans signed their letter of intent during Thursday's National Signing Day event.

The sports covered by the seven signees included baseball, softball and soccer.

Ella Bruss – Softball – Ashland University (no stats available)
Nyah Herbert – Soccer – Earlham College (no stats available)
Olivia Hopper – Soccer – Indiana State University (23 goals, 23 assists this season)
Max Hotze – Baseball – Morehead State University (7-0, 0.99 ERA, 70 K in 42.1 IP as a junior)
Lexi Watkins – Soccer – Ball State University (28 goals, 25 assists this season)
Mikala Newland – Softball – Earlham College (no stats available)
Lincoln Wilhelm – Baseball – Capital University (.300 Avg., 3 doubles, 10 RBI, 11 runs as a junior)

According to EC Athletics, the average GPA of these students athletes is a 3.84, with individual cumulative GPAs ranging from 3.634 to 4.087.
