The recognition came after a hard-fought first round sectional game.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Umpire Jody Jackson was working behind the plate during a Class A Sectional 60 First Round game between Rising Sun and Oldenburg Academy.
Following the game, he submitted an Exemplary Behavior Report highlighting the conduct of DJ Williams and Juston Dietz.
“Polite, respectful, friendly. I was completely honored to work behind them. It was a close, back-and-forth matchup. They both stayed poised and focused, displaying perfect sportsmanship throughout,” said Jackson.
Oldenburg Academy won the game 6-5.
"As a school corporation, we are incredibly proud when our student-athletes represent Rising Sun with class, integrity, and respect. Athletic success is important, but the way our students conduct themselves is what truly defines our program," reads a statement from Rising Sun Schools.
