Nine Earn ORVC Player of the Week Honors

(Vevay, Ind.) - Nine student athletes have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference for the week of September 1-6. 

The ORVC Girls Soccer Player of the Week is Emma Parsons. The Switzerland County star scored seven goals and assisted once in three matches. 

Gus Grote (Shawe Memorial) and Bryson Sipples (South Ripley) are the ORVC Boys Soccer Players of the Week. Grote tallied three goals and an assist in two matches. Sipples had a hat trick and an assist vs. Hauser. 

Alexis Mangold is the ORVC Girls Golfer of the Week for a second week in a row. The Pacers' star carded a 41 at Sportsman's and a 43 at Butler Falls. 

Brooklyn Simon (JCD) and Emma Voss (Milan) are the ORVC Volleyball Players of the Week. Simon recorded 36 kill attempts, four aces, and her 1,000th career assist. Voss had 15 aces, 16 kills, four blocks and 19 digs. Earlier this season, she too recorded her 1,000th career assist. 

Milan's Lucas Cooney, Southwestern's Savannah Nussbaum and Switzerland County's Claire Boggs are the ORVC Cross Country Runners of the Week.
