(Milan, Ind.) - At last night’s swim meet against Oldenburg and Rising Sun, Dylan Thomas broke another Milan school record with a time of 54.04.
With that time, he broke his previous record for the 100 Backstroke.
The senior swimmer has been swimming for many years as he has been a part of Milan Aqatic’s Swim Club.
He says, “It feels good to show off my hard work. Even thought I have this time now, hopefully by sectionals I can break my record again.”
The girls and the boys' MIlan teams won the meet last night which is considered two wins for the team. The combined team score was 237. Oldenburg Academy ended with 158 and Rising Sun ended with 112.
Molly Knecht lead the Girls 200 Yard IM and the 100 Yard Fly, Dylan Thomas won the Boys 100 Yard Free and the Boys 100 Yeard Back, Emilee Knueven won the Girls 500 Yard Free, Hailey Pippin won the Girls 100 Yard Backstroke, and Parley Hartwell won the Boys 100 Yard Breaststroke.
Come out and support the team at Centerville next week on January 9th v Centerville, Rising Sun, and Seton Catholic High School.
