Mason Parris Eliminated from Olympics

Several community members got up early Friday for a Watch Party in Civic Park.

PARIS - Mason Parris has been eliminated from the 2024 Summer Olympics. 

The Lawrenceburg native was defeated by Lkhagvagerel Munkhtur of Mongolia by a score of 10-5 in the 125 kg 1/8 Final. 

Parris was officially eliminated from the competition following Munkhtur's defeat to No. 6 seed Giorgi Meshvildishvili of Azerbaijan. Only losers to finalists are eligible for repechage. 

Several community members were up early on Friday to show support to Parris at a Watch Party in Civic Park.
