CROSS COUNTRY

Milan, Rising Sun, Jac-Cen-Del, Shawe Memorial and New Washington participated in the invitation hosted by Southwestern (Hanover) on Thursday. Jac-Cen-Del won the team title in the boys race, thanks in part to having race winner Damon Hughes with a time of 18:37. Only JCD and Southwestern fielded enough runners to qualify for a team score. In the girls competition, Jac-Cen-Del also won the team points race, with only Milan to compete against as a team. Freshman Eagle Chloey Simon won the girls race with a time of 23:00. GIRLS SOCCER

Lawrenceburg 7, Landmark Christian 2 – Lawrenceburg’s Ashton Lorton and Hannah Brayton each netted two goals. Lexi Knight, Erin Murphy, and Jenna Farmer also scored. Makenna While and Ryleigh Offutt both had two assists. Also assisting goals were Knights, Lorton, and Farmer. LHS goalie Olivia Bosch made four saves.

Batesville 3, Columbus East 1 – Batesville’s Georgia Gratz kicked a goal and had an assist in the win. Haily Mohr and Lauren Gutzwiller also scored. Denise Davalos recorded two assists. Keeper Ellie Waechter made three saves.

VOLLEYBALL

East Central 3, South Dearborn 0 – 25-12, 25-4, 25-14 – East Central improves to 15-1 (8-0 EIAC) on the season. South Dearborn’s Mackenzie Casebolt had 2 kills and 6 digs.
