JCD, Switz. Co. Student-Athletes Highlight First ORVC Report of Fall Season

(Osgood, Ind.) – Seven student-athletes have earned weekly honors from the Ohio River Valley Conference.

The first ORVC report of the 2023 fall sports season was released this week.

In volleyball, Kaylin Hinners was named the Player of the Week for August 7-19. The Jac-Cen-Del star tallied 27 kills, 12 aces, 59 digs, three aces, and connected on 94 percent of her serves.

Switzerland County’s Ellie Keith is the ORVC Girls Runner of the Week. Keith finished the Southwestern Shelbyville meet with a time of 22:44. The ORVC Boys Runner of the Week went to Sam Fewell (Shawe).

Another Shawe Memorial standout, Kira Wells, was named the ORVC Girls Golfer of the Week. She played six rounds between August 7-19. See her scores below.

Jac-Cen-Del’s Caleb White secured the first Boys Soccer Player of the Week award by scoring a hat trick against Milan.

Halle Archer (Switzerland County) and Jenna Flint (Shawe) are the ORVC Girls Soccer Players of the Week. Archer tallied six goals and two assists in three matches, while Flint put up the exact number in four matches.
