JCD, South Ripley Stars Headline ORVC Girls Basketball All-Conference Team

Jac-Cen-Del and South Ripley will represent the ORVC in the regional this weekend.

(Osgood, Ind.) – The Ohio River Valley Conference has named its top girls basketball players for the 2018-19 season.

The ORVC All-Conference Team, Mental Attitude Award and Coach of the Year was released on Friday.

Jac-Cen-Del won the ORVC crown this season with a perfect 6-0 record in conference play. The Lady Eagles were led by all-conference selections Mariah Day, Anna Hubbard and Paige Ledford.

This Saturday, Jac-Cen-Del (#6 in Class 1A) looks to extend their eight-game winning streak when they take on University (#2 in Class 1A) in a Class 1A regional semi-final at Southwestern (Shelbyville).

South Ripley will also represent the ORVC at regional. The Lady Raiders travel to Paoli on Saturday to tangle with Evansville Mater Dei. Seniors Morgan Peetz and Elexah Roepke were all-conference selections.

Their teammate Jill Scott was named the 2018-19 ORVC Mental Attitude Award winner.

The ORVC Coach of the Year went to Jac-Cen-Del’s Scott Smith.
