INDIANAPOLIS - The 53rd annual IHSAA Football State Tournament gets underway on Friday, October 24.
On Sunday evening, 310 teams learned their sectional opponents via live stream at IHSAAtv.org.
Sectionals will run October 24 through November 7. Regionals will be held on November 14, semi-states on November 21 and the State Championship games on November 28-29.
The 12 teams earning a berth in the state finals will play on Thanksgiving weekend in Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis.
Locally, East Central, Batesville, and Milan are defending champions in their respective sectionals.
- East Central's semifinal matchup with Franklin Community will be played on Friday, October 31 in St. Leon.
- East Central is ranked #5 in 5A. Whiteland is #9.
- First round matchups will be played on Friday, October 24
- Lawrenceburg will have an off week after receiving the bye.
- Lawrenceburg is ranked #4 in 3A.
- First round matchups will be played on Friday, October 24.
- Brownstown Central is ranked #2 in 2A.
- First round matchups will be played on Friday, October 24.
- Milan will have an off week after receiving the bye.
- North Decatur is ranked #4 in Class A.
