EC's Brians, Schloss to Continue Soccer Careers at D1 Level

Today is D1 National Signing Day.

(St. Leon, Ind.) – Alyssa Brians and Rylee Schloss are East Central High School’s latest Division I commits.

As part of National Signing Day, the East Central Athletic Department announced today that Alyssa Brians has committed to Morehead State University, while Riley Schloss will attend Eastern Illinois University.

Both played a key role in helping lead East Central to an 18-3-1 record and a final four appearance in Class 3A this fall. 

Brians, a senior midfielder, scored eight goals and assisted six times. She will join a Morehead State team (9-7-6) that qualified for the NCAA Tournament. They will play 3-seed Wake Forest on Friday.

Schloss allowed only six goals and completed 17 shutouts in 22 matches this season. She ended her high school career with a record of 60-8-3 with 52 shutouts.

She will join an Eastern Illinois team that went 5-8-6 this season.
