EC Golfer Wins Metropolitan Golf Event

(St. Leon, Ind.) – East Central had a winner at the recent Metropolitan Girls Junior Golf Event.

Incoming sophomore Rowan Pies shot 8-over par to take the top spot at Miami View Golf Club in Cleves.

Pies carded a 75 and 79 over the two-round event. Her total strokes of 154 was one better than Kylee Heidemann’s 155.

Pies and her East Central teammates start the fall sports season next week as they tee it up for three different 18 -hole invitationals.
