INDIANAPOLIS - East Central football is no stranger to winning championships in Indianapolis.
The Trojans added another piece of hardware to their trophy case after taking first place at the 11-ON Tournament at the Indianapolis Colts facility over the weekend.
The 15-team, 7-on7 tournament featured some of the top programs in the state.
East Central defeated Triton Central and Westfield to advance to the championship round. In the finals, the Trojans took down Brebeuf Jesuit, who finished the 2022 season ranked in the top 10 in Class 4A.
In the lineman challenge, East Central placed second behind Brownsburg.
As the 2023 season nears, the reigning state champion Trojans are expected to be one of the top ranked teams in Class 4A.
They will kickoff the season on Friday, August 18 at Lawrenceburg. Eagle Country 99.3 will have the call.
