East Central, Lawrenceburg to Kickoff Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Dearborn County and EIAC rivals will kickoff the Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown on Friday, August 22.

East Central travels to Lawrenceburg to tangle with the Tigers, in a meeting of two programs that are no strangers to winning championships.

The Trojans finished 8-4 and captured its first sectional championship in Class 5A last season. The Trojans moved up from 4A after earning consecutive state titles in 2022 and 2023. Lawrenceburg finished 10-2 last fall and will be vying for their fifth sectional crown since 2019.

Both teams will be ranked to start the 2025 season. The Indiana Football Coaches Association has East Central #5 in Class 5A. Lawrenceburg begins the season #4 in Class 3A.

Friday's matchup between East Central and Lawrenceburg can be heard on Eagle Country 99.3. Pre-game coverage begins at 6:40 p.m. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00.
