(Oldenburg, Ind.) – David Disbro has a new coaching gig after more than two decades at East Central High School.

On Thursday, Disbro was announced as the new girls varsity basketball head coach at Oldenburg Academy.

Disbro comes to Oldenburg Academy after 23 years as the boys varsity head coach at East Central, where he compiled a 333-239 record.

At East Central, Disbro led the Trojans to seven EIAC championships and a 4A sectional title in 2008.

Oldenburg Academy Athletics reports that Disbro chose OA because of the relationships formed with the administrators and all the great things he had heard about the student-athletes at OA.

Disbro inherits an OA team that went 11-10 last season.

Oldenburg Academy last won a sectional title in 2006.
