(Cincinnati, Oh.) – A former Batesville Bulldogs basketball star has earned All-American honors at the collegiate level.
On Tuesday, Cincinnati Christian University announced that junior Blake Walsman has been named to the NAIA All-American Second Team, NCCAA All-American Third Team, and NCCAA All-Midwest Region First Team.
This season, Walsman averaged 21.4 points per game and led the nation in rebounding at 14.3 a contest. Walsman’s rebounding prowess was off the charts this past season, tallying 20-plus rebounds in seven games.
The CCU junior is already the Eagles’ career rebounding leader with 904. Walsman is also second all-time in scoring at CCU with 1,541 points.
Aside from the All-American honors, Walsman has also been named the River States Conference Player of the Year Runner-Up and First Team All-Conference.
