Aleiah Thomas, Paige Ledford Named ORVC Girls Basketball Players Of The Week

It was too close to call, so two local basketball stars are sharing weekly honors for the week of November 25-30.

(Vevay, Ind.) – For the second straight week, Switzerland County’s Aleiah Thomas has earned Ohio River Valley Conference weekly honors.

This time, Thomas shares the ORVC Girls Basketball Player of the Week award with Jac-Cen-Del star Paige Ledford.

For Thomas, she led the Lady Pacers to a 37-35 win over North Decatur with 22 points and four rebounds. Thomas remains the conference’s leading scorer at 18.4 points per game.

Ledford earned weekly honors with 17 points and 14 rebounds in a win over Batesville.

The first ORVC Boys Basketball Player of the Week for the 2019-20 season went to Foster Mefford.

The Southwestern star totaled averaged 21.6 points, 7.3 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 3.3 steals over three games.
