(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Willie’s Sports Café is open after high winds damaged a section of the restaurant’s roof.
The Hidden Valley staple reopened on Sunday, following a Friday night storm that removed a section of the roof over the dining room, allowing four inches of rain to fall inside the building.
Area resident Dan Sheehan sprang into action and was able to tarp from the inside during the storm, which prevented serious damage inside the building.
Following the storm, a temporary fix was made to the roof to allow Willie’s Sports Café to reopen with slightly less capacity.
Willie’s GM Heather D’Andrea released the following statement:
“We will continue to operate to the best of our ability as needed repairs go forward. I would like to thank the members of the board who stayed with us most the night to offer any and all support. Pat, Scott, and the Daves were instrumental in offering the resources we needed to get through the night.”
