(Aurora, Ind.) - A hot, new restaurant is open in Aurora.

Just make sure you have a cold drink nearby when you try the food at Wang’s Hot Chicken.

The restaurant is the brainchild of Kevin Wang, who also operates King Buffet in Lawrenceburg.

Wang and his team celebrated the grand opening Wednesday. A ribbon cutting and balloon release with local dignitaries was held at a newly renovated, bright yellow building at 311 Broadway Street.

The quick-service eatery serves up spicy chicken dishes, ranging from wings and legs to salads and sandwiches. You get to pick your preferred heat level. The menu also includes catfish, shrimp, and a number of sides.

“Hot Chicken is not your everyday local hot wings concept, but rather a unique dining experience where fresh hot ingredients and southern charm combine to bring your family and friends back again and again,” the restaurant states on its website.

Wang’s Hot Chicken enjoyed a successful soft opening last week, with large crowds coming in to get a taste.
