Voter Registration Deadline Approaching; Absentee Board Hours Announced

The Franklin County Clerk's Office has shared important dates to know regarding the May Primary Election.

(Brookville, Ind.) – The Franklin County Clerk’s Office is reminding residents that the voter registration deadline is approaching.

The last day to register to vote or transfer your registration is Monday, April 8 by 4:00 p.m. in the Franklin County Clerk’s Office. Voter registration can also be completed online at www.indianavoters.in.gov.

Other important voting dates are listed below.

Tuesday, April 9 is the first day that a voter may vote an absentee primary election ballot before the absentee voter board in the Franklin County Courthouse. The hours are:

  • April 9 thru April 12 - 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • April 15 thru April 19 - 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • April 22 thru April 26 - 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • April 29 thru May 3 - 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 25th and Thursday, May 2nd voting hours will be extended until 7:00pm.

Saturday hours/locations are as follows:

  • April 27th - 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • May 4th - 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Monday, May 6th, 2024 at NOON is the last day to vote an absentee ballot before the absentee voter board in the Clerk’s Office. Those voters who wish to vote by mail or have the traveling board come to their house to vote, may contact the Clerk’s office for an Absentee Ballot Application.  Call the Clerk’s office at 765-647-5111 ext. 3 for an application or if you have any questions. Thursday, April 25th, 2024 is the LAST DAY for the Clerk’s Office to receive an application to vote by mail.
