Volunteers Needed for Ohio River Sweep in Rising Sun

The litter clean-up event happens October 11.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Volunteers are needed for the upcoming Ohio River Sweep in Rising Sun. 

Hosted by Boy Scout Troop #605, the litter clean-up event will take place on Saturday, October 11 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. 

All interested individuals or groups are asked to meet at the shelter by the Front Street playground at Rising Sun Riverfront Park. Participants will need to fill out a volunteer waiver, which can be found at www.oranco/river-sweep

Trash bags, cotton gloves and limited availability of volunteer t-shirts available. 

Participants should dress for the weather and prepare to get muddy. Closed-toed shoes are required. 

The event will be held rain or shine, however in the event of severe weather or high river levels, the event could be cancelled if deemed necessary.
