(Dillsboro, Ind.) - The Town of Dillsboro is paying thanks to a Lawrenceburg business for their help in creating an outdoor space at the Friendship Gallery.
Through charitable giving and the help of Lowe’s Heroes volunteers, Lowe’s Lawrenceburg location recently partnered with the Town of Dillsboro to build an 18’ x 28’ deck addition to the exterior of the Friendship Gallery.
Over two dozen volunteers have given more than 40 hours of their time to work on the project.
Annually, the local volunteers select a project in one of the neighboring communities. Past projects include Community Gardens in Lawrenceburg, the concession at the Aurora Soccer Fields, a walk-in cooler for the Dearborn County Clearinghouse, and a playground at Moores Hill Elementary School.
Upon competition, the new space at the Friendship Gallery will provide a place for the community to gather, share and continue conversation.
A community celebration for the new space will be held on Friday, October 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Friendship Gallery. The event is free to attend.
