The Village of Cleves Police Department says a fuel truck driver overdosed at the BP gas station on West State Road Wednesday afternoon. An alert citizens called 911 after noticing the driver was slumped to the floor board in the running truck. Police said the driver, Kristopher Phoenix, did not require Narcan to wake up from the overdose. Phoenix, 36, was arrested after drugs were allegedly found in the truck. Phoenix reportedly admitted to using heroin. Phoenix was on the clock at the time of the overdose, working for a Cincinnati-area oil distributor. Original story published Wednesday, July 12 at 2:13 p.m.: (Cleves, Oh.) – Some alert citizens jumped into action after an apparent overdose in Cleves. According to the Village of Cleves Police Department, a fuel truck driver overdosed at a gas station off of U.S. 50 in Cleves on Wednesday afternoon. Police say alert citizens called 911 when they noticed the driver was slumped to the floor board in the running truck. The name and the condition of the driver has not been released.
