The events will take place during Kidney Cancer Awareness Month.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Two upcoming events will support the Brady Gabbard Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The 3rd annual #Going28forBrady virtual walk and run takes place between February 28 and March 28. Runners and walkers are tasked with going 28 miles in 28 days, sharing their progress along the way and promoting a great cause.
Individual registration is $10, or you can pay $35 to receive a t-shirt commemorating the event. The deadline for t-shirts is today, February 13.
In recognition of Kidney Cancer Awareness Month, a second event will be held on March 7 at Howie's Diner, where patrons can enjoy all-day breakfast with proceeds from sales supporting the scholarship fund.
The Brady James Gabbard Memorial Foundation was created in July 2021 following the passing of Brady James Gabbard. Brady was just 14 years old when he was diagnosed and lost his battle to a rare kidney cancer, renal cell carcinoma
The Brady James Gabbard Memorial Foundation provides yearly scholarships to graduates of Lawrenceburg High School. The funding is collected through various events, fundraisers, sponsorships, and gracious donations.
Last year, Teagan Bennett was the first-ever recipient of the Gabbard Scholarship.
