United Community Bank Signs On As Title Sponsor Of Lawrenceburg Regatta, Bike Race

The Whiskey City Regatta happens June 15 and 16 on the Ohio River and the 2018 Whiskey City Twilight Challenge happens June 21 on the streets of downtown Lawrenceburg.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The City of Lawrenceburg and the Whiskey City Race Event Committee are pleased to announce United Community Bank as the title sponsor for the 2018 Whiskey City Regatta, June 15-16, and the 2018 Whiskey City Twilight Challenge, July 21.

The Whiskey City Regatta weekend is June 15-16, 2018. On Friday night, the meet and greet with the drivers will take place with an opportunity to see the boats up close. Race day kicks off at 7:22am Saturday with the Lauren’sburg Hill Run/Walk with proceeds going to Fight for the Cure in honor of Lauren Hill. Registration is available at www.racemenu.com. Other events include an Outdoor Family Fun Show, Glamper Show, and the feature SST-60 and SST-120 powerboat races. Robin Lacey and DeZydeco take the stage at 8:00pm to round out the festivities. 

The Whiskey City Twilight Challenge will be held on July 21, 2018 featuring amateur and professional bicycle racing around a .67-mile course. Races will begin at 1:00pm and the final feature race that will start at 9:00pm and finish under the lights. Registration is available at www.bikereg.com/whiskey-city.

Both are free admission events. Convenient parking is located in the Riverfront Parking Garage.
