(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Two people were injured in a Monday afternoon crash while fleeing police.

Indiana State Police responded to the crash on U.S. 50 near Short Street in Lawrenceburg around 5:45 p.m., where a vehicle driven by Jesse M. Fuqua, 34, of Georgetown, Kentucky collided with the rear of a Ford truck and left the roadway in front of Central Elementary School.

Aurora Police had attempted to stop Fuqua's vehicle on U.S. 50 at Sycamore Estates Drive after the occupants of the vehicle were allegedly wanted for questioning in a theft investigation that occurred at the Aurora Wal-Mart.
