These tree clearing operations are in preparation of a slide repair project 3.5 miles east of Vevay.

(Switzerland Co., Ind.) - INDOT announced that on Monday, March 23, crews will begin tree clearing operations on S.R. 156 in Switzerland County.
These operations are in preparation of a slide repair project about 3.5 miles east of Vevay.
Tree removal will take place under flagging operations.
In early April, S.R. 156 will be reduced to one lane and a temporary traffic signal will be installed between Tapps Ridge Road and Marland Pike.
During this lane closure, a 377-foot section of hillside and roadway will be repaired.
Motorists are reminded to use extra caution when traveling through work zones.
This project is expected to be completed by late July, weather dependent.
