By Town of Dillsboro, news release

This redevelopment will be in conjunction with a $1.5 million greenspace project.

(Dillsboro, Ind.) - The Town of Dillsboro is inviting qualified developers, entrepreneurs, and community partners to submit proposals for the redevelopment of 12916 North Street, a historic circa-1890 property located in the heart of downtown.

This request for proposals (RFP) is part of the Town’s broader effort to revitalize North Street in conjunction with a $1.5 million streetscape project and the transformation of a nearby greenspace into a performing arts and public market hub.

The North Street property is a cornerstone in Dillsboro’s ongoing downtown revitalization. Town officials are looking for creative proposals that will bring new energy, economic activity, and community gathering opportunities to the corridor.

Proposals should include a redevelopment vision, scope of rehabilitation, project timeline, funding plan, and explanation of community benefits. Submissions will be evaluated on the quality and feasibility of the plan, alignment with community goals, financial capacity, and long-term impact on downtown vitality.

The deadline to submit proposals is October 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Interested parties may arrange property inspections through the Town Manager’s office until October 17, 2025.
