Teen Killed In Weekend Accident

(Jefferson County, Ind.) – A Madison teenager died in a horrific crash in rural Jefferson County Friday.

 

Indiana State Police says emergency crews responded to a single vehicle crash on Deputy Pike west of Madison at about 3:25 p.m. 

 

Kennedy Wells Rucker, 17, of Madison was driving his 2006 Nissan passenger car westbound on Deputy Pike when for unknown reasons he lost control of the vehicle and ran off the roadway striking a tree then overturning in a field. 

 

Rucker was pronounced dead at the scene by a representative of the Jefferson County Coroner’s office. 

 

The crash remains under investigation. 

 

ISP Tpr. Rick Stockdale was assisted at the scene by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Kings Daughters EMS, Madison Township Fire Department, and Clifty 6 Fire Department.
