Switzerland County Police Investigate Man’s Death

(Cross Plains, Ind.) – A death investigation is underway in Switzerland County after a man was found deceased in a home Thursday morning.

At about 7:30 a.m., the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office received a request for a welfare check at a home at 14662 State Road 129 near Cross Plains because of an unknown medical situation at the residence, Sheriff Roy Leap said in a news release.

A sheriff’s deputy arrived at the scene and made numerous attempts to get someone to answer the door. Due to the nature of the call, the deputy made entry into the home through a window and found Ronald Lee Lynn, 49, dead.

Lynn’s cause of death is currently under investigation by the sheriff’s office, Indiana State Police, and the Switzerland County Coroner’s Office.

Anybody with information on the case is asked to call the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office, (812) 427-3636. All information is kept confidential.
