(Vevay, Ind.) - Switzerland County High School junior Paige Earl did not just receive the Congressional Award Gold Medal, she earned it.
Established by the United States Congress in 1979, the Congressional Award honors young people who set and achieve challenging personal goals.
This achievement recognizes dedication, leadership, and service.
Over a minimum of 24 months, she completed:
- 400+ hours of voluntary public service
- 200 hours of personal development
- 200 hours of physical fitness
- A 5-day, 4-night expedition exploring new environments and cultures
Through youth camps, soccer clinics, leadership development, and a multi-day expedition that included visits to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, West Point, and New York City, Earls demonstrated commitment, resilience, and a passion for growth.
