INDIANAPOLIS – With dry conditions into next week, Indiana counties are declared burn bans.
Per the Dearborn County Board of Commissioners, a county wide burn ban is in effect for Dearborn County. This ban will remain in effect until rescinded from the commissioners.
The Switzerland County Board of Commissioners have put into effect a Countywide Burn Ban for Switzerland County. This burn ban is in effect until further notice.
Franklin County is also under a burn ban.
A burn ban is a restriction set by county officials that limits or prohibits open burning, campfires, or the use of fireworks. These measures help reduce the risk of wildfires and keep communities safe.
