(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - On April 4, Nick Placke suffered an injury involving his work vehicle rolling.

His face was pinned between the tire and concrete, leaving him with several facial fractures including a broken jaw.

Placke is a graduate of East Central High School and an Army veteran. He is currently employed with Sweet Life Heating and Cooling.

Sweet Life Heating and Cooling will host a fundraising event on Saturday, May 31 at Durbin Bowl. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and will include bowling, a silent auction and more to support Nick and his family.

Due to his injuries, he will be out of work for nearly two months, during which time he and his partner, Amber welcomed their first baby together.

"At Sweet Life we live our core values of serving above and beyond, starting with our team members. We believe in the power of Strong Partnerships and want to thank Eagle Country, Durbin Bowl, Hoosier Icehouse, Funny Farm Coffee Company, Proof 124 and others in supporting Nick and his family during this challenging time," said Sweet Life CEO Joy Royer.
