Suspect In Custody After Stabbing In NKY

An argument about a traffic accident led to the stabbing on Saturday.

(Florence, Ky.) – One person was injured in a stabbing that followed an argument over a traffic accident.

Florence Police responded to a report of a stabbing victim at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday around 7:59 p.m.

Officers found a male victim suffering from numerous stab wounds to his neck and arms.

After further investigation, officers determined the incident took place on Turfway Road following a crash involving two vehicles.

Approximately 40 minutes after receiving a suspect description, officers took Kevin Alonso Olan-Jimenez into custody in the area of U.S. 42 and Lacresta Drive.

Olan-Jimenez is charged with Assault 1st Degree, Menacing and Terroristic Threatening.

The victim, who remains unidentified, was airlifted to UC Medical Center and is listed in critical condition.
