Town Convention of Sunman Will Determine Town Council, Clerk Treasurer

The convention will happen on Saturday, August 12.

(Sunman, Ind.) - The Ripley County Election Division has picked a date for the upcoming Town Convention of Sunman. 

The convention will be held at the Sunman American Legion on Saturday, August 12 at 10:00 a.m.

The event is being held to determine the three Sunman Town Council members and Sunman Clerk-Treasurer. 

The convention is necessary because no candidates from the Democratic party came forward on the ballot. 

Nancy Dobson and Cheryl Taylor are on the ballot for Clerk-Treasurer. 

Carol Eckstein, Donald Foley, Dave Laine, and Randall Zins are the four candidates vying for three Town Council seats. 

Participating voters must be at the Sunman American Legion by 10:00 a.m. to place their vote on August 12. Anyone with questions should contact the Ripley County Election Division at 912-689-4783.
