Sunman Firefighters Invite Local Residents to Join 9/11 Walk

Firefighters will walk 3.43 miles in full turnout gear in remembrance of the firefighters that lost their lives on 9/11/01.

(Sunman, Ind.) - Sunday, September 11 marks the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. 

In remembrance of the 343 firefighters who gave their lives in service of over 2,000 Americans who fell victim to the attacks at the World Trade Center in New York, the Sunman Rural Fire Department will be walking 3.43 miles in full turnout gear and SCBA Air Packs. 

The event is open to the public. 

Those interested in joining the walk are asked to meet at at the Suman Firehouse before 8:45 a.m.

The walk will begin at 9:00.
