(Dearborn County, Ind.) – The Indiana Department of Transportation has temporarily closed State Road 46 over the Whitewater River.

The closure is for necessary structure repairs between Barber Road and U.S. 52, west of the I-74 interchange (Exit 169).

The bridge will remain closed until traffic signals can be installed at a later date. Once the signal is in place, the bridge will open for one lane traffic.

Motorists should detour using U.S. 52 to I-74 to State Road 1 while the closure is in place.
