(Dearborn County, Ind.) - A three-month closure of State Road 1 in Dearborn County is about to come to an end.
The Indiana Department of Transportation announced Tuesday that the highway would reopen on or after Wednesday, July 3, weather permitting.
S.R. 1 has been closed since the start of April for a slide repair project near Sawdon Ridge Road
When the highway does reopen, there will still be lane closures in effect until Monday, July 8 or afterward so that crews can install permanent pavement markings and reflectors. Some seeding and sodding will also have to be completed at the repair site. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic.
