Forty unique service projects will be completed as part of Indiana’s Electric Cooperative Community Day.

INDIANAPOLIS – Southeastern Indiana REMC is volunteering time to a statewide community day of service initiative.
Indiana’s electric cooperatives will host the annual Indiana’s Electric Cooperative Community Day on Friday, October 8.
Twenty-eight cooperatives will complete a project that meets a specific need within their service area.
Locally, Southeastern Indiana REMC will be volunteering at the Ripley County Humane Society.
Volunteers will complete a variety of tasks, including walking dogs, cleaning pens, painting, cleaning gutters, taking down trees, and more.
“Investing in the communities we serve is at the forefront of everything we do,” said John Gasstrom, CEO of Indiana Electric Cooperatives. “Indiana’s Electric Cooperative Community Day provides us with the opportunity to work in tandem toward a single goal of making an impact on our state.”
In addition to Community Day, Indiana’s electric cooperatives are involved with philanthropic activities throughout the state and globally.
