(Aurora, Ind.) - South Dearborn Community Schools may consider a random drug testing policy for students.

The Board of School Trustees is set to discuss random drug testing when they meet Monday, August 19 at 7:30 at the school district’s central office in Aurora. The regular monthly meeting is open to the public.

South Dearborn does not currently have a random drug testing policy in place.

Other items on the school board’s agenda include a policy for transfer students, a budget review, a cooperative agreement with Indiana State Police, Dearborn Safe School Meeting, and more.

Lawrenceburg Community Schools recently enacted a random drug testing policy of their own. Read more about that program here.
