South Dearborn HS to Honor the Life of Bryce Valdez This Sunday

(Aurora, Ind.) - South Dearborn High School will honor the life of fallen Knight Bryce Valdez. 

A memorial will take place on Sunday, February 18 starting at 6:00 p.m. at Backman Field. 

Valdez was the victim of a fatal single vehicle accident in Lawrenceburg on Wednesday morning. 

He starred for the Knights football team between 2018 and 2021, earning four varsity letters and All-EIAC honors his junior and senior seasons. According to SD athletic director Ryan Walson, Valdez was a fierce competitor on the field, yet you could always catch him with a big smile off of it.

Sunday's memorial is open to the public.
