It's no April fool's prank. State Road 62 will be closed starting as soon as April 1

(Dearborn County, Ind.) - The Indiana Department of Transportation announced today that contractors will close State Road 62 in Dearborn County beginning on or after April 1 as part of $1.4 million construction project.
State Road 62 will be closed to all but local traffic between State Road 129 just north of Cross Plains to State Road 262 in Dillsboro.
The official state highway detour for the closure will follow State Road 129, U.S. 421, U.S. 50, and State Road 262.
Work on the slide correction is expected to be complete and State Road 62 reopened to thru traffic by late summer/early fall, weather permitting.
