Slide Correction Project Expected to Close Portion of SR 1 for Several Months

The work will take place close to Perfect North Slopes.

(Guilford, Ind.) – An upcoming project is expected to close a portion of State Road 1 for a slide correction.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the project will start on or after April 9 between York Ridge Road and Mount Pleasant Road.

The official detour follows State Road 1 to Interstate 74 to Interstate 275 to U.S. 50

The closure is expected to last through mid-December.

Commercial drivers are reminded that Pribble Road and State Road 148 are closed for tractor-trailers. State Road 48 is not recommended as a detour.
