UPDATE: Short-Term Closure Planned on State Road 129 in Ripley County

Update: 

Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O'Mara Contractors, Inc. is scheduled to close State Road 129 just north of State Road 350 on or after Friday, May 16, to complete box culvert rehabilitation work in Ripley County. S.R. 129 was previously scheduled to close on Friday, May 9.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O'Mara Contractors, Inc. is scheduled to close State Road 129 just north of State Road 350 on or after Friday, May 9. 

The closure is required to complete box culvert rehabilitation work. 

Work will take place between Estelle Road and East Prattsburg Road, north of Delaware and is expected to take up to three days, weather permitting.

During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows S.R. 350 to S.R. 101 to S.R. 48 to S.R. 129.

This work is part of a $1.3 million contract awarded Dave O'Mara in November 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
